Mara's annual Egg Hunt is going on.  It's fun, but still full of glitches.  They've been getting better in fixing the glitches, but there are sooooo many of them that it takes away from the enjoyment.

On the positive side, I was having trouble with Level 38 (out of 40).  It never showed me that I'd completed it so I could move on to the next level.  After 3 days of frustration and trying all the suggestions posted by other members in the forums (same problem happening for lots of others on various levels), I sent a support ticket in and got a very timely response.  They told me it showed I'd completed Level 38.  I found out the clue for 39 and was able to finish in only a few minutes thereafter.

We still can't actually view the eggs we've collected, as the Easter Basket is glitched.  We're hoping that in 2 weeks (at the end of the event), that they'll show up.

Marapets has recently changed servers and they are well on their way to ironing out the glitches that have plagued the site.  They are updating/upgrading the site literally several times a day now, with new items, games and worlds.

There is still room for improvement, but they have become playable and fun again.

Okay, signed up for a free account, tried to figure out what to do. First hurdle, picking a pet. See, there are pets that don't look that different, but have a 'limited supply' marker under them. People who've played neopets probably would notice the similarity to the Flotsams, which always had a limited number... of like 25000. So you click on one and submit. Nope. Sorry, that's member's only. Would be nice if that were a little more obvious, but not outright horrible.
Pick your color. Nice and straightforward.
Next up, the game wants a unique identifier for your pet, but you won't know if it is available until after you click submit. A bit annoying, needing to retype it, but okay. Okay, that's not too bad.
So go to the games page. Hmm.. quests are probably the best way to look around the site, so let's click that. Blitzen quest, okay, nice and laid out before you. Lots of ads, though.
Start the quest, okay, clothes item. Where's the clothes... store.. Hmm. Okay, not in central. Not in the other worlds... There's no clothes store? Oh, wait, here's a give away store. One item per day... Okay, it probably will give me the item I'm looking for. Click... Nope. That's not it. Okay, let's try the user stores. User stores. There's no handy link to user stores. Okay... Let's just explore a bit. Giant fruits, crazy things. Graphics look a little old, but still kinda okay. Man those are alot of ads.

I logged off feeling confused and still a bit curious about the site. Not too sure I'll be back anytime soon, because the way it's currently laid out makes it feel like a bit of a scavenger hunt to find some stores. Sometimes the giant building is just scenery, sometimes the potted plant out front is a store. Just mildly confusing.

I tried to login to my old Marapets account and it said my account was banned. :mad
Maybe it was due to my inactivity, but a warning would have been a nice gesture.

So...with that said, I cannot rate the site at the moment. I emailed them and I have serious doubts that I will be contacted. But we shall see.
