it is a no!

habbo hotel in my opinion is a waste of time and money!
- sulake is a british company trying to get you to buy virtual coins to buy virtual items!
in my opinion, it is a money waster, i mean over the years i have easily spent about 300 dollars for virtual items just to get scammed and scammed again and again, i mean what is the point?

it is an easily addictive game full of NOTHING, an if sulake is so rich then what is the point of having the worst graphics?
there are never updates and when there are it is closed for 2-8 hours

that sums it up, you heard it from me, thumbs DOWN!

Re: it is a no!

I think Habbo is a great site!

The art style in completely unique in comparrison to other social based sites out there and it has a large enough community to keep people coming back for more.
Habbo is designed so you can log on to your character and jump straight into chat with other people so I would not conisider it to be a waste of time at all. Compare it to MSN messenger (or another chatting software) you can spend hours on there where on Habbo you can also interact with others on there as well as talking.

As for paying money to enjoy the game further, this is your own choice. If you like the game enough to give them your money then so be it, people who do this won't be thinking that it is a waste of money and Sulake needs a steady income from their customers to keep their game running.

Right now, I do not play Habbo Hotel, but back in the day I found it to be very enjoyable, especially the rooms with the contests in as such which are run by players themselves. I found Cokemusic to be more fun than Habbo though, just because of the music side of it.

Re: it is a no!

It's only a waste of money if you lose interest in playing it and realise how stupid you have been to spend all that money on a game big_smile

Re: it is a no!

it doesnt matter if you loose interest! you are still wasting money on a virtual SITE!
you dont get anything in return other then a virtual item that you cant use for real and that you cant touch!!
WHAT is the point!?!?!

I Mean Sure You Have fun for A While, But Then , What Happens When You Get Bored?!?!? You WASTEd Your MONEY, Which Is Exacly My Point!

Re: it is a no!

That's your view =P
It's like people who play world of warcraft, they are paying every month to play that.. do they think it's wasting money? No, because it's something they enjoy doing! Larger sites need income to keep them running from member benifits and such so as long as the people are enjoying themselves on the site then they won't have any problems with paying for some things on the site. It really depends on what game it is and what you get for your money

Re: it is a no!

But What Is The Point For Habbo, I MEan World Of Warcraft: If You Pay One STANDARd Price Every Month You Can Do Every Thing!

Habbo:
You Pay For Coins And You Might Get One Piece Of Furniture! It Is A Total Rip Off, And I Bet It Gets Lots Of Teens And Kids In Trouble For Buying Coins With Out Permission, THEN You Get Banned And All That Money Is WASTED!

So I Respect Your Opinion, But YOU Also Have To Respect Mine!

Re: it is a no!

A lot of people probably DO regret paying real money for items on Habbo but again, if they are still playing the site then they are going to still think that it's an advantage to pay a bit of money to get better items for their rooms etc

In my OWN opinion, I don't really like Habbo Hotel, it was a game I used to play many years ago with people I know as another MSN, I did buy a small amount of credits through SMS service but it was only for a couple of items. It didn't exactly break the bank and I don't regret it now, I guess it just depends on how much you like the game smile

And of course I respect your opinion, this is what these type of posts are about ^^

Re: it is a no!

Thanks, And I Totally Agree, Credits Are Fun IF You Don't Go Crazy, But For some People Having Credits Is A Popularity Standard, and for some people it is addictive to buy them, and that is why, even thought i hate habbo, i applaud them for putting a limit on how many you can buy!

Re: it is a no!

Nice Posts Lis! *prop'd*

You're very right when it comes to it being an alternative to MSN. I personally never used it properly (my friends went through a fad) but I know some people have. But I agree that there doesn't seem to be many benefits to paying for stuff through Habbo.

Then again, some people pay into these things so they can enjoy the website further, like with Gaia MC's. Other times, the website takes the other stance and it rewards people who donate (meaning they want the site to keep going) by giving them items. Its very much up to the individual person to decide whether they want to donate or not. I personally never would, but some people have the money and enough love for the site to do so.

Re: it is a no!

I Know, And Habbo is Ok, But Some People Have Figured Out Things Called "Retro's" AKA FAKe Habbo, That Gives You Coins For Free, And In My Mind That Is What Habbo Should Be Like, FREE! Or You Could Donate, And You Would Get Like Special Privledges!

Haha it is free really though isn't it? You're just paying to have privilages like you would in any other game if you like it enough smile

Re: it is a no!

I agree with Lis. If a game costs money and you have spent what you think is a lot of money, then you should try to keep as much interest as possible in it so you don't end up losing money. This ends up to be that the best members on it are the one's that have access to the most money.
