Twin Skies
A new website has been opened...Twin Skies by the creators of neopets. www.twinskies.com
This is a fantasy based bbmmog where you pick a race and a class but so far you can't have a pet and the races/classes are just for cosmetic reasons. You play games and post in the forums for points, which help you level up and earn achievements. The site is still bare bones so there's nothing else to say really.

As it turns out, when this game is finished it will have a 3D world and thus not really be browser-based. Also, it will not work on Macs.

Seems that twinskies will end up being 2D after all. Apparently 3D is just not the way to go in this current financial environment. Sad, too, because it seemed so promising.
I do really enjoy VPNWars, one of Meteor's other projects, and this one is active.

VPN Wars was not compatible with Meteorgames new Facebook application/game, Island Paradise. It will need to be completely reprogrammed, apparently.
FWIW, the minigames for VPN can be found linked from the Meteorgames forums: http://www.meteorgames.com/forums/viewt … amp;t=8413 and they are still playable! Yay!
And the latest on Twin Skies and VPN Wars (as of Dec 4) is:
We do have a huge love for Twin Skies and VPN. Everyone at Meteor Games put a lot of hard work and energy in those games. We do mean it when we say we want to go back to them, but we really cant take on anything on the scale that VPN or Twin Skies deserve in the foreseeable future.
Meteor Games is here for the long haul, it will happen eventually, but no progress on VPN or Twin Skies in planned for 2009/2010 as yet. If anything changes, you will be the first to know!
